Claire McDonald of the Canal and River Trust is looking for volunteers to carry out environmental enhancements, and preserve the heritage of the wonderful Naburn Locks and surrounding area and is planning to set up regular work parties year round.

Naburn Locks and swing bridges are full of history, set in the peaceful scenery of the Ouse Navigation.

This is a great opportunity to learn new skills and keep fit and active; it is also a chance to learn more about the history of Naburn Locks and the work the Trust does in the local area. Their local team will be on hand to answer questions and offer support and there will also be the opportunity to take part in hedge laying training during the winter months.

No previous experience is required as training and on site instruction for all tasks will be provided. If you love the outdoors and the waterways then you are already qualified!

If you are interested please contact Claire on the details below.
